Privacy Policy
Your privacy
This page explains what information Yard Mesh Vault collects when you visit this site or write to us, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and we never sell or trade anything.
The data we hold
The site itself stores no personal data. If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive what you chose to send — typically your name, your address for correspondence, and the content of your message.
What we do with it
Your details are used for exactly one thing: answering you and handling whatever you asked about. We do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for, and we do not share your details with advertisers.
Cookies on this site
We run no trackers. One browser setting is saved locally — the fact that you dismissed our notice — and deleting it simply brings the notice back.
Sharing
No third party receives your details from us — not for marketing, not for "partnerships", not in aggregate. The only exception is a lawful order we cannot refuse.
Retention
Correspondence is kept only as long as it is needed to handle your matter and any follow-up, after which it is deleted. Records we are legally required to keep are kept for the statutory period and no longer.
What you can ask of us
Access, correction, deletion, and objection to any use — all of these are yours to request, free of charge. One message to info@yardmeshvault.com is enough.
Security
Your correspondence lives in an ordinary, access-protected mailbox, readable only by the people who need to answer you.
Contact about privacy
Questions about this policy or about your data go to info@yardmeshvault.com. This policy applies to the site operated by Yard Mesh Vault.
Newsletter
If you subscribe through the "Get new outfit posts" form, your email is used only to send new-post notifications. Unsubscribing is one click, and we do not pass the address anywhere else.
Analytics
We use a standard analytics tool to see which posts are read and for how long. It reports aggregate figures only and cannot identify individual readers.
Reader comments
If you leave a comment on a post, the name and message you provide are shown publicly as you wrote them. We do not publish the email address attached to a comment.
Correcting your details
If something we hold about you turns out to be wrong, tell us and we correct it against your original message right away, usually within a few days rather than weeks.
International readers
Yard Mesh Vault is written from Tokyo but read from well beyond it. Wherever your message comes from, the handling described in this policy is the same.
If the site ever changes hands
Should the blog ever be transferred to new ownership, any information we hold would move only under the same protections set out here, and this page would be updated first.
Server logs
Like most web servers, ours keeps a short-lived technical log of requests for diagnosing errors and blocking abusive traffic. These logs are not linked to anything you send us by email and are rotated out automatically.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we can put it right directly. If you remain unsatisfied, you can raise the matter with the data protection authority in your own jurisdiction.
A final note
None of this is written to be clever or to bury anything in fine print — it is written so that a reader who actually reads it understands exactly what happens to the handful of details we ever hold.
Log retention window
Technical server logs described above are kept for a short, fixed number of days purely for troubleshooting and then automatically overwritten; we do not extend that window without a specific security reason.
Feedback on this policy
If a reader ever points out that a clause here is unclear or does not match how the site actually handles data in practice, we treat that as useful signal and revise the page rather than leave it stale.
Headings
The numbered headings above are for navigation only and do not themselves limit or expand what a clause means.
